Tuesday October 21, 2008 Volleyball

On this Tuesday night was Volleyball. Which is one fast paced sport. One must be fully aware of what's going on. I helped announce one set out of four. All the other times I was keeping my eye out for assists. Nothing new from my past times working Volleyball. My next game is on Saturday 25, 2008 working the soccer game.

Soccer October 18 and 19

October 18 and 19 were once again soccer games. Saturday my duties were to work the clock announce goals and help call out plays. My supervisor was the football game so there was only two people working this game. It's getting to the point where I can just look at what happens and call it out. I don't ahve to think twice about it.

On Sunday 19, 2008, it was soccer again. This day I was working the computer, inputting the data. Also helping calling out plays. Nothing new, it may a boring to watch but one second not looking at the game and something important might be missed. I find it helpful if I stand up to keep me focused. Next game is Volleyball on Tuesday 21, 2008.

Today was Men's Soccer. My duties were to run the clock, annouce goals, and help call out the stats. It was nothing new. There was only two people working the soccer game, including me. My supervisor was at the football game. As stated last week, I believe I have learned every aspect of the game. My next adventure is on Saturday 18, 2008. I'll once work the soccer game.

Saturday October 4, 2008 Women's/Men's Soccer

Today was just two games of soccer. My duties were to input the data from both games. Nothing new, I’m just really getting the hang of the computer. Not to mention that I’m able to call certain foul and shots without someone telling me. This was the case from both games. I think my supervisor will keep me on the computer for the remainder of the soccer games. My next game is this Saturday doing once again soccer. That’s the only game that is going on besides football but my supervisor assigned me to soccer. So until my next game, see you.

September 30, Volleyball

Last night was volleyball night. My duites were to call out what was happening in the game. For instance: assits, kills, and diggs. Its a very fast paced game so one must keep an eye out for everything. There is no room for error. I don't really know if I am going to do the other duties but only time will tell.

Time: 6:30-9:00

September 28 Women's Soccer

Today was Women's Soccer once again but this time we had four people working the event, including my supervisor. When I arrived she had assigned jobs to the others so my duties were to keep an eye on substitutes, fouls, shot, and assits. I also helped with audio again. Yesterday was a big help because I was confident in what I was calling out to the person doing stats. So the next soccer game I worked I won't be nervous working it anymore.

Time: 1:30-4:00

Saturday September 27 Women's Soccer

This day was a good and nervous experience. Methodist had three home games and my supervisor Kirbie Britt could only be at two of them. She wasn't at the Women's Soccer game which is the game I worked. There was only two people working the game so we had to keep our eyes focused for anything. My duties were to be the score/time keeper, handle audio and to annouce goals and assits. I was only nervous when I had to annouce but the more I did it I became more calm and clear. I believed I have learned how to work every part of game day operations with soccer. I guess the only thing left to do with soccer is to become less dependant of others when working the game.
